Water System Update

The American Indiana Water Company was contacted today, concerning water quality issues that Rivers Edge has been seeing. This information only applies to Rivers Edge, Bushman’s is a separate system with different ownership. When American Indiana bought the water system, there were two pumps (one main, one backup). The backup pump did not work, so the entire system depends upon the one pump. American Indiana is digging a new well with a new pump, which will become the primary water source once completed later this summer. The current main pump will become the backup. Unfortunately, the current main pump (future backup pump) failed last week and had to be extracted from the 80 foot well, and replaced with a new pump. Summer Meeting 2023 Notes

The Summer Meeting was held in the Rivers Edge Club House on June 10,2023 with a great turnout. Highlights: The proposed Bylaw Change Proxy to permit boats to be stored on camp lots year round was rejected. A hand vote authorized spending up to $20,000 to continue the electric tower repairs. A hand vote authorized spending up to $12,000 on legal fees to consolidate the current Bylaws into a single document. A hand vote authorized spending up to $30,000 to repair the roads”

2022 Financial Meeting Notes

The Annual HOA Financial Meeting was held Nov 12 at the Cobblestone Inn in Charlestown. The minutes will be distributed in the next mailing to the membership. Highlights: The Bylaw change to permit RV's to be parked parallel or perpendicular to the street was voted on, and passed. This revision to the bylaws is going through legal processing and recording at the county clerk office, then will be posted on the web site. A vote was taken at the meeting to modify or remove the speed bumps from Stoneview Drive. Removing the speedbumps was the decision of the majority, and the speedbumps were removed shortly after the meeting. Discussion was held on paving the roads, which will be a significant expense.
